Physical Therapy FAQs

Answers to Common Questions About Our Practice

We know choosing the right physical therapist is a big decision, and you deserve clear answers. Many patients want to know what to expect before their first visit. We’ve put together answers to some of the most common questions about our care, pricing, and process to help you feel confident and informed.

About Our Physical Therapy Clinic

A concierge physical therapy model offers personalized, one-on-one sessions focused entirely on you. Instead of juggling multiple patients at once, your therapist dedicates the full appointment to assessment, treatment, and education, tailored to your specific goals.

Our concierge physical therapy model is private, uninterrupted, and built around your schedule, comfort, and progress, not insurance time limits.

Every session is 100% focused on you. You’ll work directly with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy for the full duration of your visit with no shared time slots.

Scheduling is easy. You can book an appointment online, or call our office directly to schedule an appointment, whichever is more convenient for you. If you have any questions before booking, feel free to call, email, or fill out the form. We are happy to help.

We kindly ask for 24-hour notice to reschedule or cancel, allowing us to accommodate other clients.

Pricing, Payment & Insurance

We operate outside of insurance so that we can provide higher-quality, individualized care without restrictions.

Yes! Many patients submit an itemized bill (“superbill”) to their insurance provider for partial reimbursement. We’ll gladly provide detailed documentation for you, upon request.

We do not bill your insurance company. Please understand that it is the individual client’s responsibility to verify insurance benefits and submit all claims for reimbursement. Insurance policies and benefits vary widely, with some plans having no allowance for physical therapy or wellness at all.

Although most insurance companies and plans offer some form of credit or reimbursement for our services, this is not guaranteed, and it is always the client’s responsibility to verify his or her insurance benefits.

Payment in full is collected at the time of service.

Yes! We accept HSA and FSA cards for services. Most Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts cover physical therapy services.

We accept many forms of payment, including cash, check, and debit cards. We also accept HSA/FSA cards, all major credit cards, and Venmo.

We use a simple, transparent pricing model designed to give you the highest level of care without the limitations of insurance. Our rates are competitive with traditional outpatient clinics, but every session is one-on-one with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. That means more focused time, flexible scheduling, and faster progress, all for a similar overall cost.

Email us for detailed pricing information for physical therapy, dry needling, and personal training services.

The difference is in the quality of care. At most insurance-based clinics, your therapist may only see you for a few minutes before handing you off to an aide. With us, your entire session is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who listens, adjusts your plan in real time, and stays by your side from start to finish. You’ll see and feel the difference in the quality of your care. With no rushed appointments, and no insurance restrictions, you’ll receive focused, personalized treatment that helps you recover faster and achieve lasting results.

Referrals & Paperwork

In the State of Massachusetts, you are not required to visit your doctor first to get a written referral or prescription for physical therapy. Massachusetts is a “Direct Access” state, meaning that if you want to see a physical therapist, you can do so right away.

Please bring any relevant medical records or imaging if you have them.

What to Expect at Your Visit

Initial evaluations include treatment and are typically 75-90 minutes.

Follow-up treatment sessions are 60-75 minutes, depending on your treatment plan and goals.

Sessions are held in our relaxing, spacious office located in Walpole, MA.

Your first session includes a full evaluation, movement assessment, and treatment plan customized to your goals. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of your next steps.

Comfortable, flexible clothing that allows you to move easily, similar to what you’d wear for light exercise.
